Want to change my old chipped steering wheel for one of those wooden ones. Was looking on midlandwheels.com boss kit £30 steering wheels from £90 what size do i really need 14" 15" ?? and what tips are there for changing these over tools ect many thx Rowan.

Don't go to small, I had an after market steering wheel, in the end changed back to standard, parking was a nightmare trying to turn a tiny wheel.

Oh, and the tip for changing it, use a puller and leave the nut on a few threads. I have in the past been pulling on a steering wheel so hard it flew off and smacked me in the face and nearly knocked me out

was thinking of getting one myself.

i bought one of those from 56 havent fitted it yet! but i took the old one off today and it was a bitch! like u say leave the bolt on a few turns. I had to heat the area up a little and spray some wd40 in there then you need two of you to leaver it off. I used a dirty great lump hammer and gave it a few whacks from underneath and it came off in the end.

Yep, it's real nice and im pretty sure it will fit, i'll add pics once done.

Had to remove my wheel a couple of weeks ago to fit a new indicator cancelling thingy, couldnt get it to move, old boy next door told me to put the nut back on 2 or three turns, pull up on the wheel and hit the nut with a hammer. Came off straight away
Those 17" wheels look good, ive got a lovely grant wheel but cant get a boss for an earlybay, only splits or lates :(
