This is the sorry state of my road, just in front of my house...

... that's my daily driver sat in a puddle which I'll have to wade into if I want to drive anywhere.

I first asked Kent County Council to clear the blocked drain on 22nd November, and called again yesterday at 9.00 am. Seems it is either not important enough to deal with or there are more urgent cases - if so I'd like to see pics of them!

Hopefully this naming and shaming will have some effect!

Shame on you KCC, shame on you!

I wonder if not paying your council tax will help? Probably not they'll soon get you to pay that promptly.

I've got an idea though,why not add a load of bright green food dye into it then take another picture and give it to the council?

Good idea! I have e-mailed the local councillor so we'll see what he gets done. But if I get home on Monday and it's still there then maybe I'll get inventive!

Ha ha ha! To be fair, my lane is an 'adopted highway' with ditches, not drains, so I guess it's par for the course really!!
