Anybody fitted one of these new style cab bunks from Bluebird?

http://www.bluebird-type2.co.uk/Split%20bay%20interior.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Their site says...

"A new version of our famous cab bunk. The new model incorporates sprung poles and so eliminating the use of pillar mounted brackets. Just 4 holes to be drilled into the A post ( some bays already have these ) and B post".

Before I buy I'd like to get some idea of how big the holes need to be, if this new version doesn't work using brackets I'm imagining the poles must go straight into the pillars and as such I think the holes are going to have to be pretty big to take the poles.

I don't really want to drill big holes in my A pillars. Pics if anybody has them would be great.

Thanks!

I got one of these a few weeks ago. Luckily my van already had the holes drilled and had plastic plugs in them. I think the holes are about 8mm so not massive.

The design and quality of the Bluebird bunk is very good IMO.

Sounds like the same mechanism that devon used to use, my devon front bunk worked fine, as Matt_B said the holes were about 8-10mm.

Thanks! That's a big help.

I'll try to get my order in before they close for the holidays!
