Well I had another clutch cable go today. The last 2 seem to have failed in the same way with the cable breaking at the pedal end. Just wondered if I'm doing something wrong? The last cable has been on approx 2 yrs and done around 4500 miles so hardly any use really.

Broken cable:

Inside the metal bit I can see where the wires have broken off

New cable fitted:

Got StuF to have a feel of my pedal and he thought mine was much lighter than his, not sure if that's good or bad? Any suggestions welcome!

Been thinking - what condition is the spring in at the gearbox end?
Mine may be stiffer as it is a brand new spring - installed it when I went for the late bay release bearing.

I'll have to get it jacked up to check. It can't be too bad as I couldn't operate it by hand, had to ratchet strap it to get the cable on
