Clutch problem

Hi all it’s been a while, my van past it’s MOT last Monday but whilst out in it today the clutch pedal just went to the floor and didn’t return. Have had no issues changing gear or any strange noises and it’s been running fine. I’m thinking it may just be the cable that has snapped. Had the van 13 years and it’s never been replaced so hoping it’s just a simple fix???

Could be the cable snapped
But if the cable is still attached at the operating lever on the gearbox, the pedal connection has broken.
Either the securing clip has sheared,

Ok thanks I’ll have a look tomorrow. So not an expensive fix

Not really.
Mine had snapped the securing pin, I repaired it with a small bolt on the hard shoulder of a Belgian motorway while Darius watched.

It was the pin that had gone. Replacement on the way. Thanks.

It’s no problem, sometimes it’s a matter of timing and you may want an idea of what to look for. Chill

I hope my pin never goes because I replaced it a couple of years back and I thought then, that’s a hard one to source when you’re on the side of the road. So I bought another and popped it in my toolbox. Unfortunately my memory is so shot to pieces that I’d never really remember it is there but when a thread like this pops up then I’ll remember.
