Hey guys,

Has anyone had any success in wiring up an original Blaupunkt radio so that the volume dial controls the volume of a hidden stereo that say you'd keep in the glovebox?

I have seen this done before but wanted to know if there were any kits out there or would this be completely bespoke? Reason is I wouldn't want a fancy new flashy graphic stereo adorning the dash of a 60's van

Cheers

Im planning to fit an original radio to the speaker set in the dashboard and wire it in as normal, then a cd player hidden somewhere else in the van with a remote control to operate it with

put the original stereo in and wire it up as an amp for a ipod. Then just connect all up and you have a old skool radio with new skool tunes!

there are a number of bespoke options open to you but it isnt going to be cheap or worth it, i'd go with Easy on this one, plus you can take your ipod down on the beach with you.....

So it's not just me then that think the old skool stereo's rock! 8)

Funny how time changes your opinion of things  Not long ago people were ripping these out and consigning them to the bin. I think I'll go with the consensus of this forum
