Safely on ball joints? i believe its around 4 inches (you can go lower but it will wear out the ball joints much quicker, so add some dropped spindles +2.5 inches, thats a 6 1/2inch drop?

perfect, i will be giving Wagenswests a call then.

im going to use a set of their adaptors so i can fit wide 5 american eagle 5 spokes....will i have enough clearance at the back to run these wheels and adaptors?

Sorry, I don't think you will have enough clearance, it's pretty tight already on those wheels...

Change to earlier brakes instead.

before i ordered mine i checked with CoolAir who are the UK stockist, they have tested them inhouse and happy to sell them in the UK, so fine by me, also no negative feedback i can find on thesamba etc
