Just orderd myself a set for my 70 Bay.
Good move?/Bad move?
Not going for a slam job, i only realy want to go down by about 2 inches to make it level.
It sits quite high at the front.
Will take pix before and after to try and please the purists  .
Do they come with instructions or are they self explanitory?
Are Creative adjusters decent quality, ive heard theres some real crap out there.

ive got em on my weedeater and they seem okay so far......

think there are fitting instructions on the creative website....

I finnish work at 5pm tomorrow and the rest of the evning is my own.
The beams comming off

Personally I would have gone for the adjusters from T2D, we've fitted a couple of sets of these recently and they mesh perfectly together unlike some of the other ones on the market. (not seen a set of recent ones from Creative so can't comment on the quality of theirs)

Now if we are talking adjustable rear spring plates then its creative all the way

Yeh, spring plates next on my shopping list.
I tow a small caravan bout 3 times a year so need it up. Dont want to keep on having to pull the rear apart every time i want to raise/lower it.

Sorry another quick question
Anyone had to notch their front section of gear selector shaft to clear the top adjuster? Looks like it will be quite close to me.

P.S The beam is off and the slots are cut. Just got to tidy things up ready for welding on tuesday or wednesday, want it back on for friday eve.

I had the same prob with my weedeater v1, Mr Palmer told me there was nothing wrong with the design and apparently my gear selector rod must be bent  also my favourite "we have never had heard of this problem before" lol

Yes they can be very close but I have never had to shave one yet.

Good luck with the beam, don't forget to get those pics up.

Personally I concurr with what Graham said, the ONLY adjusters worth fitting are T2D . Ive tried Creative and ive tried Csp, T2ds are a better fit and are machined NOT cast like others ,the teeth are better and they are longer so you get more adjustment.

NOTE ... Any product from ANY company that interferes with the original german design of the vehicle Is not worth fitting . So if the new adjusters you've bought interfere with your gear linkage..... Its NOT bent its cus the new product is Crap

At MEB we only fit tried and tested stuff to OUR own vehicles and THAT of our customers ..... AND If myself or Graham arent happy with the fit/finish/usage of said product we have no problem telling the customer Either. Id rather put something back in the package and send it back than put **** on a customers or my own van

Gadget ;)

I have Creative Engineering adjusters on the king and link pin splitty beam fitted to my EB. I was concerned because they are cast and my welder (neighbour and MD of his own welding/fabrication company) expressed concern of welding cast to the mild steel of the beam. Was informed by Mr Dave Palmer that the cast material had been specified to be suitable for welding via MIG and would not be a problem. To date that has been the case. I would say the curvature of the adjusters did not match that of the beam exactly and the mesh of the two halves could have been slightly more impressive. However I have as yet suffered no problems and not tried other suppliers products to make a direct comparison.
Oh, and no problems with clearance on anything as others appear to have had.

This is what one of mine looked like, it went straight back!

Thanks for putting that picture up AF , you can clearly see the casting marks on the sides of the adjuster . NOW Im a precision engineer by trade and I know that when you weld cast it has to be preheated and then welded using only specific cast welding rods ..........Not many people have these facilitys in there personal garages

T2D adjusters Anyone ...... ;)

yeah they were crap! i have been told that the ones cool air sell are good, but they were out of stock when i wanted them

Right then, Fitted the CE adjusters. They seemed to be of good quality and the teeth mesh well.
Also lowerd the rear by 1 outer spline. Will keep you posted of any problems that may occur with the front beam.
Rich.
