Hi all. Wired up my split charge relay, leisure battery and fuse box today. Also fitted a charger but mounted it in the engine bay on the side of the spare wheel well. Getting conflicting stories on google as to wether that is ok or not? Will the heat harm it?

I was not sure, so I chose this location:

Don't shoot the messenger.
I have wanted a C Tek for ages and wrote to them asking advice as to size.
They wrote back and said that the Mxs 7 was the best for campers if you have a 110 a/h battery or larger.
Anything smaller makes the unit work to hard and should only be used for 1 or 2 appliances or the battery alone.

Of course being the hog I am I went for the MXS 10 and now just plug and forget.
Runs battery, fridge ,cooker and kitchen sink and keeps the bus battery charged by way of one of
those Durite split chargers. Anybody interested pm me and I will supply the email acc. address.
Hope this helps if interested.
