Am i right in thinking that with a Creative Weedeater beam i could go lower than my stock beam which has had adjusters welded in at the normal position?

Yes and no!

The weedeater is narrower so will give you better arch clearance, allowing for a larger drop. :)

But if you are running stock ball joints and spindles, you should only go down a few inches :(

Really you should couple weedeater and dropped spindles.....this is where the cost starts to add up.

cheers, thats what i was wondering, just got to bite the bullet and get a narrowed beam and spindles etc
