Hi,

Has anyone got deluxe bumper trim on their bus?

I bought some for the front but there obviously reproductions.

What do you think?

is it me or do the original trims seem different to these?

They look to chunky to me and wrong! Anyone got any pics of the real thing?

They are the 'early' style trims, they look good to me ....

Mine are the later ones -

Look spot on to me.
Also Dave Creative aim to get the repro rears that you need back in production early next year.

Give Mandy a call and get you're name down on a pair if you still haven't located them.

Looking quality to me doood 8)

Looking sweet but do you have a pic showing the full frontal oohhh err missus... so we get the full benifit as I see your still concerned about the position...

Hi,

Funny story there cos i've only got a small drive way thats as far back as i could get.

I tried to reverse it out of the drive but stupidly left the cover still on only with the front of it lifted up which resulted in me driving over the cover and getting stuck with the van half off the drive n the middle of the road at which point the engine stalled and wouldnt start again.

So no i dont

i will have another go this weekend! making sure to take the cover fully off first!

the cover is doing the job though well worth a £100

 never mind it should look fine as long as theres a small space between the trim and the bumper to step gasket...

i've got the early type on mine too, where did you get yours from mr ddfrost?..... i also needs some rears, the c+c ones look pretty good.

Hi,

got them from C&C dude i think.

bought loads of crap when i first got my van and i've ended up selling alot of it due to not having the time to fit it and also changing my mind etc!

As requested the full frontal.

I def think they need to be slightly further in from the edge and lower down what do you think?

Sorry I,ve got to agree with you, have a look at Clems further up in the thread, Me thinks this is going to be something that will grind away at you  until you bring them in & lower slightly.
Think I might have to invest some Crimbo money in some :D

Yep spot on with that diagnosis fella looking a little high and wide but the trims themselves look fine.....shouldnt take muchto correct that though...

i had the same dilema with mine!.... i moved them twice and still not 100% happy... my offside one is slightly out i think

yours certainly need dropping down a little tho.

hi,

half way through adjusting them now

begining to wish i hadn't started to be honest lol.

watch this space for a revised full frontal shot shortly!

also i've come to think old vw vans are like women. you spend all your cash on them till your skint! then they leave you for someone with more more money!
