G'day folks,

I'm just trying to get together all the pieces of deluxe trim for my bus. I have the trim from around the front grill but it has seen far better days so I'm looking to replace it.

Does anybody know where one might be lurking or perhaps suggest where a good place would be to start looking?

Cheers

Ian

Have you tried to panel beat it into shape? I had a gentle tap and polish with mine and it came up a thousand percent, and my panel beating skills are not that good.
They are made of nice soft alloy and respond to to a little loving very well.

Cheers fellas, I'll get my lump hammer out and beat it 'til it looks less ***** than it currently is :D

Is the trim plated or just polished? It's just that i don't seem to be able to make much of an impression on it with my metal polish....

i think its anodized, autosol normally brings it up but you need a bit of elbow grease!

Just bought one of these for 35euro at Bug In. Its got no dents and came on a grill to stop it bending. Ive just used one of those pan cleaners that have soap in them (wire wool with soap) and its took off all the grime and tarnished bits a treat. It will polish up now with a polishing mop and compound. They are solid aluminium so you cant really rub through it.
The deluxe waistline trim cleans just the same. Knockink out dents isnt to hard but because its so soft you will always see dents and imperfections which show up bad on the bus when the trim is polished.
Good luck with your search and if you find any extra corner pieces im looking for 2 (L & R)

I heard that Creative Engineering were selling repro sets now. 600aud landed here. Don't know what you locals would pay though.

That dosent include the front grill trim, and ive heard various comments about the fit of the rear corner ones on repo sets.
