Didn´t they had a production break to set up the plant for new model in July/August 67?

i dont think there was a break, i have a 21st,24th,25th, and a 18th of August 67 early bay owners in my club and even my van {25th aug) has cab doors that are date stamped Jan 67, so i'd say they were stock pilling parts with no time off between splits and bays.

Alex is right about model year etc..........but when you have a early bay on a E reg its fun to keep winding him up

mine is by all accounts a 68 bus, but M plate says 69 so registered as a 69 plate

it all gets very confusing especially when ordering parts and doors, handles etc. etc. i believe there are many subtle differences

Vee Dubs? Our babies. You want to know when they were actually born unto the open. Registered as actually a real phenomena in ‘law land’ is paperwork. Birth certificate. Becoming a thought process for existence and a process of ‘this is what our changes are from conception to birth’ and subsequent.....‘here it is’ in the development procedure is an equivalent of the human/mechanical thing of birth process. OK.... They aren’t produced in a womb. But on a factory floor. So, I suppose we have to think in parallel. Once realised.....date of birth. Sorry.....nurse thinking processes with me. That is......exist but not quite....yet. Date of birth. Date born.

Bays were built in the later part 67 BUT it’s a 1968 model. So strictly speaking there is no such thing as a 1967 model baywindow, Some people just bleet on about having a 67 made to be pedantic. I have a 1960 beetle, it was built in November 1959 but no matter what I say it’s a 1960 model.

If you had a 1967 model type 2 you would be driving a split screen and would be on SSVC, not early bay.com

;)

Mine is an english F reg Sept 10th '67 RHD bay ('68 model). All E reg bays are imported and have been given the wrong E reg pre fix by the DVLA.

I dont bleat on about it at all, but when someone asks me when my bus was built, or how old it is, I just tell them. Am I meant to lie?

On all my paperwork, (logbook et) it states mine is 69.
on the M-Plate decoder it came up as 70!
Guess it was made in 69! which is good enough for me!!!

Dinner for 2!!!!!!

E reg 67 bays rock.. enough said.. it says it all my paperwork. And in the words of ever trueful Derek trotter "what can't speak, can't lie" so it must be true
