my daughter had a T25 multivan bluestar thingy the one that sounds like a scouby
always playing up and more thirsty than George Best!

prefer an early t25 looks wise, if i want to go that modern i might as well have a transit

will still have a EB to play with

The T25 is modern to me!

me too, hence why a T4 to much of a jump up from my 70 westy

One thing I forgot to say is that they really DO drive nice. Even with the stock set-up they are very comfortable and handle well. I modified mine with a set of -45mm (IRRC) springs all round, chrome Wellar wheels (doing it again, I would choose something else) and 225/60/14 Cooper Cobra wheels.

Here's mine (black one) pictured with a good friend's which he sold and bought a T5 (doing more miles).. With these changes it was a very, very nice drive, up high enough to appreciate it, yet low enough to look good (I think so anyway) and held corners nice and straight.

I would have another.

Sorry but i`m biased towards them as I own 4 syncros and 2 2wd and the misses has one as well.

For more technical info try club 80 90, and for the modifiying site see brick-yard.

It`s a personnal thing like marmite. It`s the last of the proper vdub in my opinion with the engine in the right place.

But wait till mid year and the new syncro utility vehicle is being launched, and that may change my mind ;)

Details as released by Volkswagen. Have to wait to see if it lives up to expectations.

NOW that looks goooood. I love trucks!! I want a truck next (although funds will probably be restricted to a Mk3 Mondeo :| ) I was looking at the Ford Ranger (Like my Fords) or an Isuzu Rodeo.. This would deffiantly be on the list if it was a few years old already so I could afford it

Talking of new stuff, you seen the face-lift T5? I saw one the other day:

I've had a couple of T25's, they're a great bus but don't forget they're also an old vehicle now so you'll no doubt at some time need to do some engine work and they suffer from seam rot............

Here's the first one I had - A 2.1 Caravelle, fast as hell but bloody thirsty.....

Then I had this - A 1.9 Caravelle......

I don't mind them, I've seen some nicely done ones. Rear double doors are 8)
They are just soooo expensive - like unreasonably expensive. £3-5k would get you a scabby one with 150,000+ miles on.. :?

weve decided to wait and try to find a decent late 25 westy pop top now, no hurry, so will wait till we find something decent for good money, may be an impossible task, but ive bought a bay microbus to keep me busy in the meantime
