Hi all

Sorry if this is a daft question :D. Does an earth wire need to be the same amp capacity as the live feed? I can see why it would, but thought it worth asking.

Also if it does can you combine two lower rated earth wires to achieve a higher overall ampage?

Thanks

It needs to be greater than the fuse on the live feed as if it were to go short the increase in current flow should blow the fuse and yes you can double up on the wiring not best practice but functional.

Thanks...I'll buy some more earth wire and do it properly !
