I asked for advice in a previous post about my indicators not working...To cut a long (and frustrating) story short I changed the Indicator relay and the indicators are now working :D However, now that I have put everything back together again I have another problem :(
Everything seemed to work fine until I returned home after a short test drive. When I turned the ignition key off the engine continued to run. When I removed the key the horn sounded and continued to sound until I replaced the key :?: :?: . I had to stop the engine from running by stalling it. When I removed the key the horn started again but stopped if I turned the steering wheel....The ignition light stays on even with the key switched off and removed so I have had to disconnect the battery..... HELP :x :x :x

Somewhere there is a short between the permanent live to your ignition switch (Red wire) and the output side (Black wire), this is causing you problems with the battery light, engine not stopping etc. As for the horn it sounds (sorry  ) as though you have a problem around the indicator switch. The 2 problems are separate I think. Check carefully around your fuse box for tags touching one another, look for where tags may touch around where you have disturbed things. Be methodical in your approach take each problem one at a time.

at a guess your shorting the horn return (runs up the steering column) with the steering wheel lock fella, gonna have to pull it and see whats happening there...

and as clarkson has said with regards the ignition, take each step slowly here, you've potentially got quite a serious problem so if you have a volt / ohmeter use it to its fullest and where possible test with battery disconnected...

Thanks for your advice guys.......However I have decided to let Type 2 Detectives have a look for me. Lucky for me they are only 4 miles from where I live.....
