Hi, we've finally managed to get our 71' back on the road and now the interior rebuild has started. I am about to install a leisure battery and cabling.

Question is - Is it possible to have a switch that allows me to very occasionally in an emergency, override the volt sensing relay to allow me to utilise the leisure battery and starter battery together to start the vehicle (if say the kids have left the lights on the bus when playing)? I assume that it is possible and that many of you do it already. So does anyone have a wiring diagram?

:)

You could go the easy option and just use a set of jump leads from the leisure battery to the main in the event it goes flat?

Is it that simple?

yep, actually simpler.. just 1 lead to connect the + terminals :D
(although i'd only go down that route in an emergency, LB's are not designed for dissipation of the high amp/short duration type)
