Engine swap

Hi all, new to the forum and I've just bought a 71 bay.

I've got a split that I want to take the engine out and put into the bay. It's a 2010cc with twin 40's. I'm running a beetle gear box with irs in the split. My question is, will it fit straight onto the gearbox in the bay? Tinware all the same? Pretty sure il need a new exhaust as I'm ruining a tuck away one and I don't think they fit on a bay!!

Roughly speaking, a type1 engine should drop straight in yeah

the only thing you need to check is that the 2110 has been built with an engine case that has the mounting points for your engine brace bar.

Thanks for your replies, had a llook and I'm pretty sure it has the bolt holes for the rear support bar. Is it just 2 bolt holes either side of the oil pump?

Plus one at the bottom in the middle.
