Ferry crossings

When booking on line do you put a type 2 in as a car , mini bus or (motorhome) Has anyone ever had a query over the status of the vehicle after booking or is it safer to book over the phone and explain. Do you find you generally get the best deal direct or via one of the many ferry clubs or agents?

easiest booking seems to be Norfolk Line Dover-Dunkerque - just call it a VW Transporter and put in the car category for height and length - cheap too

and if you were still looking for places to go then a trip up to Bruges from Dunkerque is a treat - good cycling on the canals and river paths - there's a real friendly campsite just N of Bruges within 30mins walking of the centre - and if you are into old windmills then there are some real treats there...
