Hello all

Advice needed please, I managed to finally fit my über lock tonight then went back to lock up a few hours later and noticed my light where on. On further inspection it seemed that by fitting my uber lock it had moved my brake pedal a cm or so and had activated my lights.

Any ideas why please ?

Thanks

Simon

Hi Jon

Yes I think so, its the first time I had it fitted just strange while my light came on.

Spooky :(

Hello

Just as a update, I went to start it last night and the batteries where dead.

I managed to jump start it but my alternator light stays on now, any ideas what it could be please ?

Thanks

activiated your brake lights?

they shouldn't come on anyway unless the ignition is on,

maybe you need to sort the wiring out?

I agree bluenose

But only had it a couple of months and was told from who I brought it from and shows on receipts that it had just been rewired :(

Looks like that was not the case !!

should be an easy fix dude. Just find the cable that goes between the fuse box and the sensor on the master cylinder.

It must be going to a permanent live on the fuse box, just pull it off and stick it on one that is live when ignition is on

Thanks Blue

Latest update following day my batteries we flat as a pancake, charged them overnight and seemed to be ok but then died again on way back yesterday after a trip in her, once I turned on lights and window screen wipers that was the end of it :(

On testing looks like I am getting from power from the dynamo as batteries still showing 12.5 while engine running so seems dynamo not doing its job as I have been told brushes are fine.

Any ideas what it could be or do you think its the dynamo that requires replacing.

Thanks

Simon

Well I have checked the dynamo tonight and that seems to be giving out the correct voltage, the only thing left to check is the voltage regulator, without buying a new one is there any tests I can do to check whether that is working correctly please ?
