Free camping in the New Forest

I can't find any campsites still open this time of year ( with a shower and toilet) has anyone just parked up and stayed the night in one of the car parks in the New Forest? Not sure if they can fine you or anything?

Pretty sure there are patrols around the forest itself although it would be too difficult to tuck yourself away

No showers or toilets but then neither would just parking up somewhere
