Front badge mounting location...

Hi All,

Thinking a bit in advance here, but does anyone have the measurements to hand for where the front badge should be mounted on an early?

I'm guessing centrally, but how far down from the grille etc.

I believe its the same but best confirm...as I know the laters a smaller vw emblem....

Could someone measure the distance from the top of the badge to the bottom of the grille indentation on their front panel for me? Woud be much appreciated, I should be able to work from that.

Got it fitted today, it looks great

Now I just need to fill and paint the front panel before I fit it again :lol:

Hello tofufi, after changing my front panel, i too have the same problem, dimensions please . Does anyone know where to buy the original badge fixing clips?? :roll:

For fixing this badge, I got hold of 4 little plastic thingies from Rocket on here, he said in his PM he has plenty.

For the dimensions, just stick the badge through a bit of cereal box card at 90 degrees to the edge. Remove the badge, and use the card as a template

That's how I did it anyway
