Hi

I hope some one can help me. I recently purchased a set of front brake drums for my 1969 bay window from Kingfisher Customs. I also ordered a set of oil seals for them. My mechanic cannot get the seal into the drum because it is too large only buy a couple of mm. The advice i have been given is that it will be months before a new set of drums will come into the country as they are Out of stock practically everywhere and it appears that they dont make them anymore for my year!! So that leaves me with a scrapped bus or the drums get machined out so that the seals will fit!

I am asking if anyone else has had this problem or am i the first or can i get a seal from somewhere that will fit this drum.

Any advice help would be much appreciated

cheers!!

Where abouts are you? you could send them to us and we can machine them out for you or get new seals to fit.

sounds like you got disc hub seals, they are slightly bigger .could be wrong but i thought all late split eb drums are the same?

im actually in worcestershire so pretty much central. Id like to be able to get new seals for it i think i need them 165mm diameter but any ideas where or who specialise in that, or is it they easy to get hold of or be made?!?!
