Front bumper trim

I have a pair of front bumper trims in ali and at Slough got some rubber inserts (VW part no241 707 221).
My question is...how do you get the rubber into the ali?
Dumb question but no good if they don't go together!
Once I've unlocked the secret i can think about fitting to the nos bumper that has sat in the shed for 2 years since I bought it at Slough.

never done a Bay deluxe bumper trim before.....but on my splitty i soaked the rubber inserts in a bucket of very hot water, you should find that the rubber will be easier to manipulate then.....worked for me :mrgreen:

Get them warm first

The centre gap in the back of the rubber clips over the raised section of the ally trim, and then the end pieces clip into the apertures each end of the trim too.
