Hopefully this will be the quickest question ever; I've looked in Bentley and spent half an hour on Google trying to find a picture of the rear of a front drum brake, but to no joy. I've just found that the hoses are both going in to the top cylinders, and the bleed nipples are at the bottom, which doesn't seem correct. The seed of doubt has been planted, however, the brake line clip is installed on the top ball joint, so it all looks correct.

Could anyone please confirm?

Here's mine:

Well I'll be damned, bleed nipple at the bottom... Doesn't make sense in my head, but maybe where the air collects at the highest point, it gets drawn towards the bleed nipple once bleeding begins. Who knows, but at least I can set about not dismantling anything more!

Yeah does seem a little odd, I bled them a couple of weeks ago and air came out so it must work!

I'm not sure which is right but the bleed nipples on mine are at the top. The hoses seem to be routed ok, not rubbing on anything. I bled mine ok too.

Haynes picture suggests they should be at the bottom as well:

Lol at Haynes using a picture of a minging filthy bus! Still seems an odd arrangement to me, but I guess if the pedal is good and firm once bleeding is done, then it obviously isn't an issue.
