My front seatbelts have seen better days, one dosen't retract and just found out last week that the other isn't locking
So ordered 2 new ones from JK, which arrived today so i thought id pop out to the bus and swap them over.
Well started to undo he passenger side floor bolts and the whole lot started moving and i now have a 4 inch by 2 inch hole where the seatbelt used to be
Not good, i dont weld  and dont know what to do next

Looking at he seatbelt mouning instructions they can be bolted through a vertical surface, so is it possible to drill through the bulkhead behind the seat and mount it to that (i have a walkthrough westy) and then get the floor welded up?
OR
do i need to get the mounts welded back in as they was?

Havn't even tried the drivers side yet :(

Can't recommend a particular panel supplier for this piece as I repaired mine with some thick steel instead.

Just wanted to mention that if you're thinking of mounting your belts vertically rather than horizontally you'll need to check that they still operate; some will only work in one orientation because they have a weight inside that will only move along one plane...

;)

Fit them properly - you need to fill the hole anyway. :)

All suppliers supply roughly the same part. Take your pick. You may be able to avoid wrecking some paint on the arch if your welder doesn't need to use it all.

I'm very surprised this passed it's last MOT.
