Fuel gauge

i have been bringing back to life my 71 Danbury that has been out of commission for about 20 years. Amongst the problems I have is that regardless of how much fuel there is in the tank the gauge reads full as soon as the ignition goes on anyone come across this or have any advice on how to resolve?

Most fuel gauge issues are sender/earthing related rather than the gauge itself.
There have been several discussions on this forum regarding such issues in recent months. Time spent using the search facility at the top of the page may produce an answer.
