Evenin' all,

I bought the POR15 fuel tank sealing kit and then set about the job of draining and cleaning the tank, etc, etc. It's pretty clean now and I can see that it's really not that rusty at all, just a very thin surface rust with no pitting, etc. I'm now wondering whether it's worth using the sealer. I'm wondering because my experiences of 'normal' POR15 are that it doesn't like sticking to 'good' metal. I'd hate to use the stuff only to find that it starts to peel off and become more of a problem than I originally had.

Any thoughts?

cheers

Ian

Why not scuff the surface the same as you would normally prep for paint. It should stick to it then.

The sealer is be 'taken internally'.

I'm thinkin' that I'm gonna leave it and just monitor the fuel filter. If it fills full o' ***** frequently then I'll reconsider.
