this may sound daft but i need to know the function of the following switches on the left hand side of the steering wheel (rhd). its the one furthest left and the one nearest the steering wheel ( if memory serves!!). one is a flick switch (lhs) and the one nearest the wheel is a knob that pulls out once with two wires coming out of the back.
my camper had no clocks in when i bought it you see and i have managed to find everything except the petrol gauge wires and the main beam indicator.
the only other thing is does the generator lamp light up when the ignition is turned once but then go off when the engine is started??

thanks in advance,

andy

the genny light will go out once the battery voltage and the regulator voltage are equal, so it will be lit on first position (no current from genny/regulator) remains on when engine starts (low battery) and should go out once the charge is returned to the battery a couple of seconds on a good battery and genny.

yep thats the one then. is the reverse light on a pull switch next to the steering wheel??

The reverse light should be activated by a switch on the gearbox when you select reverse gear - although it's possible that if an earlier 'box has been fitted then a manual switch may also have been installed

;)

so what is the pull switch for to the left of the steering wheel?!? and also what i think is a momentary switch furthest away from the steering wheel to the left?!?

Im seeing wiring digrams and spade end connectors in my sleep!!!

They could be absolutely anything fella, if there stock then check out the relevant manual

star man, i was assuming they were standard equiptment

according to the manual the pull switch is for the internal rear lights and the other switch was for an optional auxillary heater which it has not got as far as i know!!

cheers again for the thread

andy
