...but don't think we can make it!

I entered the draw for the Ahmet Tribute concert at the O2 Arena in London to see Led Zep (along with 2 million others) - and I've been offered the tickets! Not sure I can justify the £250 ticket price though, and we'll have to go up to London beforehand to pick them them up and collect our wristbands - gutted really as it looks like it'll be a great gig.

Off to cry now...

;)

Yeah i was going to go for that, its one of the only bands i thought i would never see and now i have the chance but there is no way i will pay that much. i am going to cry with you...

£250 .... is that a pair?

Fair go, thats takin' the piss a bit!

I guess they realise all those old rock fans from the 70s are now middle aged professionals with plenty of disposable income ;)

Im not sure theres anyone Id pay that much to see .... as much on principle than anything.
Most reformed bands do tend to disappoint a little, and I generally respect bands that dont get drawn back together by the lure of the tills ringing - The Jam and The Stone Roses being two.

It's actually a charity gig for the Ahmet Ertegun Foundation - but it's still a bit steep!

;)

Bands should cost a tenner to see at unis' and dingy halls....

Them were the days..... Stone Roses, Charlatans, Inspirals, New FADS, Neds atomic Dustbin, CUD aahhhhhh memories indeed.......

If your selling the tickets I would love to buy them as I have a 17 year old who has always been a very big fan.
you can contact me on 07973373690 or email me at [email protected]

Hope to here from you.

Aaron: I agree with you...

Think I paid £5 to see Neds at Brunel uni - many moons ago now :)

If the other guys change their minds I'll definately have them. we registered on 4 different computers but had no joy. last saw them at Knebworth in 1979 ( I was very young then !! ). Any chance you could let me know your lottery numbers for next week aswell !!!!

I've had a couple of offers for the ticket code, but to be honest I don't know if it's possible to pass them on to a third party...

The unique code is used when the tickets are paid for online, photo ID and the credit card that's used needs to be taken along in person when the tickets and non-transferable wrist bands are issued - some people are saying that the name on the ID needs to match the name originally submitted to the ballot but I don't know if that's correct?

Help, I don't know what to do!!!

;)

OK guys and girls - I've decided...

I've offered the code to my cousin, Paul - he's been a fan for years! I'm waiting to hear if he can get off work to go to the gig...

If he can't go then the code will be offered to an EarlyBay'er!!! - I don't want any money for the code as I don't agree with touting. The code will still be 'live' for another couple of days so there's no need to panic just yet! If you're interested post your name on this thread and I'll put them in a hat (assuming my cousin can't make it) and get Mrs J&M to draw one out ASAP.

Please understand that there is still some debate as to whether or not the ticket code can be passed on to third parties - if you get the code it will be down to you to check and/or take the risk... like I say, I don't want to profit from my good luck - but I'd hate to see someone lose their hard earned £££'s too!

Bugger. I was gonna offer your choice of a rust free set of overriders OR a set of rear splash trays!

Anyway, please chuck my name in the hat. After reading that, it's clear to me that anyone can use the code. No need to check if I can get it off work cause I'd QUIT my job to go!

Cheers

Shane

Right guys - my cousin CAN'T make it, so I'm now in the enviable position to make someone's day/month/year! :D

Mrs J&M will draw a name out of the hat at mid-day tomorrow (Wednesday) and I'll PM the winner at that time - Good luck!

;)

J&M.... those tickets are changing hands for £1500 EACH! seems like an investment to me.

I have a few grown men in work crying because they didnt make the draw. Your one lucky person 8)

It was a pretty dumb thing to do just one small gig, they are playing into the hands of the touts who will make a killing.
