I've been on the forum before asking about the steering on my 69 west as it occasionally steers like a wonky shopping trolly, well today I was looking at the notes on my phone and found one which said 'locking nut, locks the leaves into the middle of the beam' is this what's affecting my steering? Am I a dope for forgetting?

Let me know

Cheers

The trailing arms are locked onto the leaves, but the centre just passes through a shaped gap, so no.

Check the steering box, centre idling pin, track rods, end ball joints, steering coupling ....
