My '68 has the single fixing type headlight - and I need to replace at least one of mine - seems options are limited unless one has the additional fixing tabs inside the headlight bowl.

All I actually need on one of the headlights is that metal band that the ajustment screws fit onto, that goes around the reflector - mine has rusted into pieces. Anyone got an old one lying around?

If I wanted to be able to use the newer (and cheaper!) headlights, is it possible to weld in some tabs, or is there a better way - I'm guessing such tabs would have to be 'scratch built'?

Any one use the 'smooth lensed' halogen lights as sold by Heritage (and others)?

IF you can, wait till the shows come around and you will probably get one for a couple of quid in the trade stands.

Will do Steve - I'll sort something out tomorrow when I get to the van! cheers
