Headlight switch removal - how please help.

Hi guys my dash lights have stopped working on my 70 and think I need to remove headlight switch or get to the connectors on top and could do with some advice/help on how to please.

You do know the dash lights can be dimmed and turned right off by rotating the switch knob don't you?

Yeah I do but they don't come on. They did but don't now.

Unscrew the rubber pull knob

You will see a chrome locking ring, you will need a flat head screwdriver with a gal in the middle to clear the shaft

Unscrew that

It will then come out
