reading camper and bus mag gave me an idea to get a heated front screen. anyone else got one? and is it worth getting?

also, the article used a danbury one @ £500 (i think it said).

just campers have this @ £183:

anyone used one?

only a guess but i recon they will be the same make, not many people will have the jig for these and be making them,im in the windscreen trade and we cant get them from any of our supliers.i am chasing this up tho as £200 is very exspensive for what it is

It's on my to-do list - I don't think £200 is bad to have a windscreen that will stay nice and clear.

I've bought an original heated windscreen switch that I'll use and power it from the leisure battery

my problem is that i know what screens cost.£200 for a supply only seems alot for a basic heated screen.if only one company are making them tho they have you by the short and curlys.as for fitting anything more than £50 is robbery

dude get yourself a supply of them get to the shows and start fitting them gotta be some money there for you......

im looking in to geting hold of some at the mo,if for no other reason than i wouldent mind one.not sure id wanna fit em at shows tho,i go to a show to get away from work

I think the £500 quoted was for Windscreen and labour

I think Danbury are just set up to sell new vans with add on extra's for those that want to do the retro thing with big wallets, they're really the right destination for those who want retro fit parts at more modest prices.

Some of the upgrade prices for simple items like jail bars etc are shocking when we know you can buy basically the same thing elsewhere for a lot less!

If that doesn't sound like a weekend business plan for additional beer money I don't know what is.......do it!

i put an advert for a windscreen on vzi, someone phoned me up and snapped my hand off. he said he'd brought one from danbury's that had been taken out for a heated one, due to current safety laws the new bays have a thicker windscreen and it was to thick to fit an old bay. Don't know if this can be sorted be buying a NEW danbury windscreen rubber seal, but its worth looking into before buying

i was thinking that just under £200 wasn't bad, although if they were nearer £50 i'd be happier obviously.

so, has anyone actually got one .... or seen one in action? do they work??

might go for the JK or one from the other link

has anyone got one in their bay???if so could you let me have all the details from the kite mark?i can trace manafacturer from hear.
