Hi All,

When I removed my engine in the summer, I didn't bother connecting my heating back up as I was due to drive the van to Cornwall the day after I put the engine back in.

Now, I am finding it a bit chilly in the winter (as my daily driver), so I found the flexible pipes and put them back in this morning.
However, I could only find a cable for the heat exchanger control on the passenger side of the van.

Can anyone tell me where the cable by the heat exchanger comes through on the RHS (drivers side of RHD) of the van?
I suspect I don't have the cable, but it's worth a try before I wire it permanently open.

This rather rusty picture shows you - there is a little bracket (just out of view behind the small bellows) that is welded onto the outrigger of the chassis - this picture is taken as if I was sitting on the engine. You can just see the top of the starter motor.

Wow - that's exactly the picture I needed!

Went and had another crawl around under the van, still couldn't find it on mine though. Just wired it open for now.

Pictures is rusty bits:

Looks to me as if your little support bracket has snapped/rusted off - I reckon thats it in the second picture!

I did wonder.

In fact, in the photo there appears to be the remains of a wire by the large electrical wiring loom on the far LHS.

Nevermind :D
