hot start probs

i've bought a new very large battery to combat this,

Just had the engine rebuilt and its really struggling to fire when hot, its all tuned carb, rocker valves and timing....it did struggle a little before the rebuild but now it seems noticeably harder to restart after a run.

any advice?

Check the starter bush in the bell housing.

also a relay to supply the solenoid straight from the battery, instead of the long old wiring from the ignition.

mine was like this :? but i just used it every day and it fixed itself.must have just been a tight engine all good now
