How to remove sliding door handle? i have take the inner handle off given it a good tap with a hammer and no movement?
Is there a clip elsewhere that needs to be removed?
cheers

yeah, robins is right. just be carefull though if you decide to tap it out as its soft metal. I damged the end of the square shaft where the inner handle screws in & had to have it re threaded. I suggest putting the inner handle screw back in on its own, screwing it right down then tapping the head of the screw with a rubber mallet or wooden block.mine was a snug fit & just neede a bit of 'persuasion'

Thanks for the help gave it a really good wack with the hammer no joy
everyone sure nothing else to take off apart from the interior handle?

yep, should come out, mine took a good whacking, hence the damage...have you given it a good soak with penetrating fluid (WD-40 etc) between the shaft & collar? if still no joy,try heating up the surrounding mechanism G E N T L Y with a pencil torch or the like while you tap,as the collar heats & expands it may just loosen the grip on the square shaft.
