I would have thought it would just peal off, if not you could use a heat gun/hair dryer or hot water, any glue remaining I would use meths to remove.

as a note, if you have a VW that when the windows mist up you can see the marks of old stickers, clean the glass with meths this will remove those marks.

Cheers, Il try first with the hot water. When I tried peeling some off it came off but left most the tint on the window so they were semi tinted. Not a great look.

We used a flat stanley knife scraper to remove ours - but it had been on a very long time! The film comes off quite easily but the silver stuff on the film tends to stick to the window. We didn't try hot water but I don't think it would have worked. A knife and elbow grease was very effective though.

Thats whats happening with mine!

They actually make a kit to do this. Comes with a scraper and a special spray. The spray melted it away and the scraper finished it off. Check Ebay.com I bought it in America from a 'Halfords' style shop called Pep Boys.

heat gun sparingly for the majority of the film, then the sticky left over bits, some graffiti remover and paper towel.
then glass cleaner to finish off.

i thank you. :msn4:

I had the same problem, the film came off in tiny bits and left a sticky residue, I tried everything thinners, meths petrol??? in the end I got it off with 'sticky stuff remover' from robert dyas :)

I had to do this, I used a steam iron and tried to peel away as much as you can once its been heated, then again using steam blade off anything else, its quite a quick job when steam is used.

im asuming you have done this all ready.if not, the best way ive found is to heat the glass from the outside while peeling the film of slowley.doesent always work but usually this way will bring the film and the glue of in one.this is how the pros do it aswell and it does work 80% of the time. if not a saftey blade will shift the glue without scraching the glass.use a holder for the blade, ive seen em flip round in the past  they go deep with all that presure
