It is a question often asked in the air cooled community - 'how do I reset the odometer of my VW to zero?'
Well, I got the perfect solution, and it doesn't even involve disassembling the speedo - you just DRIVE your VW every day till you get to the automatic 'reset' point  I had the honour with the Bay this afternoon in rush hour traffic (note the speed), near Bedfordview in Johannesburg, so I snapped these pics :
Got the '71 Bay December last year showing around 64 000 on the clock, although I think it should rather be 164 000. Concluded another efortless 36 000 kms today - well done and many thanks my trusted old slow Bay!
