I assume it would be double side tape.
My front badge is held on with the stuff. Its like a 2mm foam with glue stronger than the pull of gravity :)

Drilling holes in a front panel doesnt appeal too me.

Duck tape do a number plate specific tape which to be honest is just foam double sided tape used once after I caught some fecker nicking my plate, lost the screw hed already removed it stayed on for three years and even survived the head on smash I had in France...

I drilled my front panel. :?

Still, it is a repro front panel which I fitted. Not too worried about having done so.

edit: just to be clear, I probably wouldn't drill an OG front panel. Double sided tape or similar would be preferable.

Dare I say it but HALFORDS is the place to go. They sell the spongy anti gravity matter at their number plate dsepartment funnily enough. That's what I've used and had no problem s front or back.

I just put mine in the front window drove past plenty of police cars with no worries.

You've been lucky - it should be on the outside! Eventually you'll come accross a copper with some spare time...

You mean they do venture from the services coffee machines and donut stands....

I got the Duck tape version from Woolies, quite fortunate it was under the multi storet carpark that I was parked in when the thieving get tried to nick my plate.... Thers enough to do two plates atleast..

Hi,

I've got mounts on the bumper for the plate i just dont like how it looks if i get stopped i'll just say it kept falling off on the journey so i put it in the window for the time being!

I drove it for 4 weeks with one US plate on the back and nothing in the front at all.

My sons van (split scrren) failed an MOT cos the front number plate was inside and not mounted outside.

I agree - always good to build a relationship with your local motorfactors instead!

;)

And they tend to have some idea what there talking about......stock items you want that arent just crammed with flashing leds......good prices....and nice to keep the small man in business....

ordered my new black and silver alli plates from my local auto shop, was £10 cheaper than halfrauds 8)

plus they are nice blokes who dont ask stupid questions so they can punch numbers in a computer to tell em they dont stock the spark plugs you need
