hi i've been out showing a few saxo's what a old camper van can do (and it's wet so 1st n 2nd gear have been ace ) anyway thank god for the generator warning light ! I threw the and ate the fan belt ! i was carrying a spare make sure you do !

Glad you caught it though - there have been a few expensive engines lunched through thrown belts!!

[note to self - get a spare, and keep it IN the van....]

Did this with me old van and popped the blanking plate on the carb :roll:

it's running very well ,i f*$king love it !!!!!! it sooo mad launching a camper van off the lights ! i took off the fully merged header as it didn't give enough ground clearance and got a stainless 4-1 header and turbo muffler from vw speedshop and replaced the "modified" (read cut to pieces) brace bar, am hoping to get it rolling roaded in the next few weeks, hope to meet at the shows this year and do a bit down the pod. all the best steve

Have you any idea on BHP at the flywheel??

about 250 bhp !!! O, at the flywheel and in real life , i hope to get 120/130bhp i'm booked in at race shack on the 8th ,so looking forward to seeing the results of a bit of tinkering
