Build Day 1 (ish)

Trailered to my local mechanic who let me assist him for the day.

You can just about make out how the jubilee clips had eaten into my fuel hoses.

Firewall off - petrol tank area is completely solid and looks brand new  However, someone previously has replaced the hard fuel line from the tank to the engine bay with hose, need to sort this out in the future.

Inside fuel tank was clean too, couldn't believe it. Took the fuel tank out as my fuel sender isn't working. Heres why:

The thing disintegrated when I took it out.

Setting everything out:

New clutch in, went in really easily.

New clutch bearing

That's it so far. Continuing today, getting the new sender unit in, fuel tank back into the bus and waxoyling that area.
Then turn our attention to the engine, bolt the manifolds on - carbs on - alternator conversion - fuel lines sorted - engine in - exhaust on - bomb it down the motorway at 60mph

Day 2
Not as much progress yesterday as I'm still waiting for my alternator, so that's holding up the engine build. Cracked on with a few other jobs instead.

New fuel sender in - VDO
