Insurance renewal and wont insure kept on driveway

Hi Guys,

Just renewing my insurance policy and Carole Nash wont insure the camper if kept on my driveway, it has to be garaged between 10pm and 6am! I dont have a garage, luckily I have a workshop at the moment, but this worries me for when I bring the camper home over night! This with Carole Nash's adoption of 3rd party call centers I am looking to go elsewhere, any suggestions please?

This is worrying.

I am with Cherished, who quoted for 'on the drive' last May, and hopefully will do so again this year. Good communications too, with UK-based staff who know what they are talking about.

Mine have been parked on various drives for 30 odd years with no issues.
Try Heritage at Norton Insurance as well.

If you give them a better quote from somewhere else, they will match it.

Just insured my bay through Carole Nash and it is covered on the driveway at all times, but must be on drive and not outside on roadside between 10pm and 6am.

Thanks guys. Well I have gone with Carole Nash even though it states if the vehicle is kept at the risk address it has to be garaged from 10pm to 6am. Thankfully my camper is in garage away from home and that is the risk address, meaning when in use and parked on my driveway at home and as it is further than 0.6 miles away it is still covered against theft! Phoning around I did not find RH to be very professional, though comparable on price with Carole Nash, and Peter Best was nearly double the premium for the same policy!

All sorted for another year and for £150 with an agreed value

Interestingly they said the same, must be garaged from 10pm to 6am. Don't know if they are telling me its rough round here or what

We are with Lancaster, (I've been with them 7 years with my bug). £107, fully comp, breakdown cover here and in europe for a 71 Dormobile. Legal cover too. Ours is just kept on a drive, no other restrictions. HTH.
