I havent put this in the For sale yet as i am not sure whether I want to sell these.

i have a set of Porsche Twists:

Fronts: 17" 7J
Rears: 17" 8.5J

i may change direction slightly and going to the S models of these wheels. would anyone be interested in these?

all are in immaculate condition. on ehas the slighted of nicks in one of the spokes.

i would be looking for around £650 for them with brand new tyres on them

i have would have the adaptors too:

1 pair 18mm thick
1 pair 25mm thick

i'd keep them mate as i think you would struggle to get that amount back for them. even with new tyres they tend to go for around £300-£400 on ebay. i'd like to see a bay window sitting nice and low on a set on 8.5j rears. i just sold a set of my favourite porsche rims (8x16" 911 cup1's all round) because they made my golf sit too low that it kept banging on the floor. and now i'm gutted i let them go. get both sets :D you can never have too many wheels imho :D

most boxster twists on ebay are og. they dont do a copy of them. the copies on there are all the 17" cup1's or the 17" & 18" cup3 twists (the ones with the wider spoke). the cheapest boxster s rims ive bought on there were £150 for a set with as new michelin pilot sports, i swapped those tyes for a full set of 16" cup1's so got the two sets of rims for £150 :)

ive never tried an 8.5 on the back. there was a guy at brighton breeze with a set on but he was riding high and it looked poo. if you swap the rear tyres to 215 45 17 and run 165 40 17 on the frontyou should be able to tuck them in with no work at all. the standard 205 50 17 and 255 40 17 that they come with have a slightly baloony profile that doesnt help with the tuckage.

wheel and tyre choice is the most important decision on any car and can make a good car look crap. or a crap car look good. i even saw a diahatsu charade gtti running polished d90's, stretched tyres, and slammed stance, and it looked awsome which is proof if proof were needed that "you can polish a turd" :D

i cant remember the size of tyre on the rear, but i think it may have the 215 on the rear. it does look a little skinny, if not too skinny to be honest. i presume the tyre man wont have put the tyre on if it wasnt safe???

i hear you have nelly's g/box? jammy!! i'm picking up overything else he had on saturday :)

does "everything else" include his awsome engine? i knew you were buying the beam and brakes etc. the gearbox should be on its way to me today. :D 215 is all good on an 8.5j i have 195 40 17 on some and they are still fine. collecting bits makes up for not being able to work on your van. and you can do it from your desk at work :D :D :D

   your bus is gonna romp. your wallet certainly wont be weighing the bus down :D

i'd say so. bwa. i'd run your bus empty for a year on the strip then fit the rear out with your stereo etc. i cant imagine a complete interior and full stereo install would help with your launches. what gear box will you be running? are you having one built or just going to run a standard 6 rib? or something a little more stutgart for the full on porsche 5 speed romp :D

i'm not really serious about getting into the USB, but a thought when i realised i was going to have 204BHP :)

i've got a 6rib 2L box at the moment and will probably be getting it rebuild with a taller box like neil did with the one you have just bought.

just going to be happy to have some grunt for the roads when i catch people up doing 50 in 60 and couldnt overtake them due to lack of power.
