As you may be aware i am in the process of refurbing our bus, including interior retrim.

I now need the various boards to create the new interior panels, front kick panels, door cards, side middle panel, slidding door and rear hatch. The panels on the rear sides are not required.

Any recommendations as to who i should use??

Not a recommendation but I came across this lot the other night for teh first time and the prices appear quite reasonable to me..

im getting mine done and the re-upholstery guy is making them out of hardboard.

the mdf ones are very flimsy especially if you use those blasted clips that you cant get out and end up breaking the panel.

not sure if you can get hardboard or ply ones off the shelf...dont know why???

I do know that Spirit interiors Daz, formly Spirit of the 50s do the rear hatch piece and the side pieces just under the rear windows and front kick boards in black plastic , Alot cheaper than JK. also Dave can do complete interiors to suit your budget and fit it all too , and of course he's just at junc 9 on the M42

Gadget

I have used these guys for years, they are good & not expensive.

I already have a trimmer, but this is his first camper van so thought it would be easier to get a good set of panels to start off with, he may want to make templates i suppose.

So MDF appear to be a no no, i suppose with water ingress these would disolve eventually.

So hard board i hear, so where then??

Like pete nice I like vwtrim .I've used several sets of panels off them. my mate bought a set of un-trimmed panels from them and we covered them ourselves ,give them a call

great tip pete! been thinking of changing ours. these guys are 2 miles from me, and i'd never heard of them :D . good prices too.

Spoke to Spirit of the 50's and they can offer panels only but they are MDF, anyone know who offers hardboard or similar

WHS^^^ marine ply.... but remember the inner membrane/plastic liner will help a great deal too, make sure the drains and the door bottoms are clear and a liberal PVA coating ....

Well after the reception i got from Spirit/Dave on Sunday i will NOT be using them. Talk about arrogant.

As good as they are and as convenient i am not giving my hard earned to anyone who talks to me like that, customer service, what customer service!!
