That there is still good quality companies out there, big and small. 8)

As you know that people like Scott Wilson, Graham L etc are all quality guys in the world of Earlybays and i wouldnt hesitate to reccomend them to anyone. (and of course all the others like Carol, and our American doods like Woodslat etc)

Its great to know that there are other nice doods out there. I went to a local engineering place by me as i am after a really weird c clip that holds a wiper shaft in place and stops it from falling back inside. Anyway, the doods in there gave me some great advice and even gave me some quality grease for said spindle for free!

Anyway off to the other people they said to try and the dood was uber helpful and after about 10mins of VW talk and about he had an old van, he gave me a range of sizes and types all for free! It may be coz i gave them a wink or he liked my aftershave, but im on fire today!

Seriously tho its good to know that in the current climate you can rely on earlbayers and many other honest companies out there. 8)

It is very nice to hear, being quite new to the whole vw scene. My only experiences are when i broke down a couple of vans stopped to help. Who else would do this?

Vw doods are very good at this, i do try and stop unless i can see that they are being sorted. Most will stop and help and have a nose at your van!

Bikers. Well they used to 20 odd years ago. Then everyone waved in the same way that VW Aircooled seem to now.

Now though it seems a good number of modern day bikers are all fair-weather, executive speed freaks on R1s and Fireblades.
Either that or wannabe 'easy riders' on Hardley Ablesons clutching their licences fresh out of 1
week fast-track course and pretending its great hanging off 'ape bars' on the long boulevards of the rural England - pillocks.

There endeth today's rant..

and probably a few others, especially those who wave at each other like the owners of scooters, lotus, classic minis etc. it is great that people do this.

To be honest, it is how you talk to people. I don't seem to have much trouble getting discounts or good deals from most places.

You are obviously a sound bloke that comes across genuine.

Sometimes this is enough to get you out of a spot. These guys will remember you time & time again. You will pass business their way too. Workers cooped up in sweat shops like talking to interesting people & like being treated as human beings. Engineers often are at the end of a tether and get talked down too.

A lot of people will go out of their way to help nice guys. If you were a nice girl you would have got a load more free stuff!
