Just campers recon engines! any success stories ?

Has anyone had one of these recon engines from just campers ?
looking at the 1600 twin port unit at £1500

oh and is it worth paying extra for the 1641 upgrade

Don't know anything about the just kampers engine's sorry .
But I would stay with the 1600 engine as it's a bit stronger in my opinion plus you really ain't going to notice the extra 40 cc in something as heavy as a bus

Is it a vege engine? if so i have had a 1600cc for years and it is excellent. i have twin dells,ratio rockers and stock exhaust and it runs really well.
1641cc I don't know about but many people use them and are fine, but there are many horror stories about thin wall barrels from people too. I don't know of anyone that has had problems, it is usually a badly built engine rather than the barrels being a problem.

I had a 1641 in my old bus, it was a good engine and had more grunt than my standard 1600.
If I were you I would go 1776 and some twin carbs. 34ict or dells if you can get them.
