my bus is running 185/65/15 firestones on american eagles, they are 500kg rated i think 84H

any ideas if these are safe, and best pressures to run, im told i should have commercial tyres!!!!!????????

im a little worried/confused now....lol

thats way too nice for a roof donor! cant you find another roof out there and ship it back, plenty of front ended busses out there or in europe

if you chop this bus up im gonna have to kick you in the nuts!

Well the amount of time people have been running on such tyres without any problems with blowouts etc would suggest they are completely safe. at the end of the day a Bay weighs alot less than some large cars and they don't run on commercial tyres...

like any old car, you need WD40 & a hammer! :)

I had the last deluxe for about six months, i reularly sprayed WD40 everywhere i could and had a number of atemps with hammers, levers, blocks of wood and two people and still it wouldn't open. maybe this was a particularly 'stuck' example but the access to the moving parts is so limited and you never want to over force the winder handle...

slammedresto ive got 215/45/17s on mine, if they can take 2 ton of merc doing over a ton ill risk them on the bus!

monkeyspinner, whats the odd vacumn thang on the carb? cali smog equipment?

Another right result there, Tim. 8)

Those that suggest modren car tyres arent upto the job of hauling a camper around are the ones who wouldnt lower or run different wheels to begin with ;) Its outdated nonsense.

It's arrived!

this is one sweet bus, all original paint, only rust at the bottom of the front screen and a little bit in the front floors. interior is complete bar the middle seat and the headlining is almost perfect... runs, drives, brakes work. i reckon it needs a bit of this treatment...
