Does anyone know the dates or provisional dates for next years bug show, Spa?
Got to book time off already and am having to guess when it will be!

The dates for next years Le Bug Show have been released

http://www.vwbugshow.be/en/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

01-02 August 2015 are the actual show dates.

Clare and I are intending on travelling over to Belgium from Lincoln on the Wednesday 29th July and returning on the 3rd Aug after the show.
It would be a lunchtime crossing on both the 29th July and 03 Aug.
The chunnel is around £78 each way although you can use Tesco Club Card points to pay for the journey.

It was an awesome trip this year! One not to miss

Im thinking of going to the Super VW show at Le Mans

Then heading to Spa :D
Plan would probably be leave Weds 22nd July return Sun 2nd Aug.
If anyone else is interested let me know :)

My max speed is 60mph, but im not afraid of covering a large distance in a day/night if need be ;-)

We will be going to this show hopefully. We've emailed the organisers regarding advance tickets as we will be in europe anyway with our Club (Suffolk Bugr's) doing a Wolfsburg pilgrimage! Looks like i will have to pop into the bank however as i can't make head nor tail of the payment details the organisers have sent me! Any clues those who've been before? :?:

you just park up and camp on the hard standing outside the show a day or two before it opens
when the ticket offices open you drive over in your aircooled vehicle and purchase your tickets

Simples! Not heard of anyone obtaining advanced tickets

Oh and we travel at camper speeds when in convoy - circa 50/55mph a nice relaxed cruise!

Also for reference if you havent seen any pics - check out my thread here for the action shots ! http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=44243&start=520" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The camping fills up fast from Thursday dinnertime when most start arriving, so being there Wednesday evening ready to set up camp early Thursday is essential if you want a good camping spot.

Luckily me and Stu had it spot on last year with timings, camp setups, beer runs etc. We know all the best places, so tag along for some major aircooled action.

Theres nothing quite like track day Ive ever experienced in my bus...its simply awesome!!

Own a Bay?.........Feel the Love!

Thanks for that StuF but we will be making our way straight from Wolfsburg so unfortunately the option of turning up a day or two early isn't open to us

I will email the organisers again, but don't fancy racing across europe to find ourselves out of luck with nowhere to camp!

Not done this show before so have a few questions.

Was planning on driving over on Thursday morning, to get there late afternoon. Do i just park up anywhere for that night and only move to a permenant position after registration opens on Friday? I only ask, as I need to put a tent up, so could do with some grass, not hardstanding as mentioned earlier?

Is it a mass free for all once registration opens, or do people who have turned up one or two days earlier get through first?

On the bug show website you can purchase tickets under the presales section. If you do this, do you still have to register on Friday, or is there a quicker way in?

Is there a specific road/entrance I need to head for once I get there.

Cheers.

To answer your questions
Park wherever you can - you will take that spot all weekend and return to it after going onto the track/site. There is less space on the grass compared to hard standing but if you are arriving on Thursday you should be ok.

When registration opens on Friday the queues build up pretty quickly as you need to line up in your Aircooled vehicle to get the discounted tickets. The ticket booths serve whoever is there first on the day and it's a drive through affair.

No idea about presales - got ours on the Friday before the show opened.

Main entrance for the track is the one to go for - just follow the Aircooled motors making their way there - on the Thursday there will be loads.

Hope this helps

Stu

Stu,

Cheers for the info, that's great.

does the map on the website show where registration is and the entrance to the site, so I can setup camp nearby, without having a long walk to and from the track?

Yep - camping 1 is the hard standing and camping 2 is where Foz and I were last year
Its not much of a walk onto the site and to be honest that is the best part as there are so many amazing vehicles about

Have a look here for some pics of our trip to SPA last year
