my van is getting close now so i need to make my mind up on what kit im going to use to lower it!i have been looking at the red9 design 4.5 5 inch kit what do you guys think about this kit?basically could you tell me what to avoid!
pics of your vans and how much they are lowered would be good please :) espcially if they are around the 4.5 5 inch mark ;)

It may be worth you doing a search on teh forum, there are loads of threads about it on here, and loads of different arguments for different kits, My method of choice is 2.5" Waggens West dropped spindles, soon to be joined by a red9 design kit, it may be a bit low, but we shall see!!

have you got any pics of yours now?plus i want to avoide any chassis notching! :s

Hi 71 Dormy,

I have the Red9 4.5/5'' front coilovers and the red9 4'' rear springplates, no notching required. I am really pleased with
how the van handles and drives now, it is comfortable and you have loads of adjustment on the dampers. I don't think I
would go any lower, maybe just narrower; If you look at Ants bus, it looks amazing and has just the stance. IMO.

Here's a couple of pictures below. 1st one is from Bus Types and mine is the nearest bus :)

I now have smaller profile on the front........these ones had a little bit to much sidewall and caught the front arch slightly!!

that does look real nice.think i might go with that.what profile tyre have you got then?as iam running standard wheels and lower profile tyres at the moment!i think that is low enough tho!thanks :)

Thanks, I now have 175/55/15's on the front and 195/50/15's on the rear. There is not a massive amount of difference with the sidewalls, however the front tyres are just that bit narrower so I don't get any rubbing. I will replace the rears with a slightly different tyre, maybe a 195/60/15.

Matt

Hey Dude,
Where are you in Malvern?
Here's my bus, this is a costly lowering job (4" narrowed beam, king & link pin) but you're welcome to have a look if you like.
